REGINA, SK – The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) has announced that goaltender Brady Holtvogt will replace Charlie Tritt, who has been forced to withdraw due to injury, on Team SJHL for the upcoming 2026 Viking Cup, presented by Vaderstad.

A 2007-born netminder from Humboldt, SK, Holtvogt brings size, composure, and a rapidly developing résumé to the Team SJHL crease. Standing 6’2” and weighing 195 pounds, he has steadily progressed through Saskatchewan’s elite development pathway while gaining valuable junior and major junior experience.

Holtvogt first made his mark at the U18 AAA level with the Prince Albert Mintos, appearing in 19 games during the 2022-23 season before earning a taste of Junior A action with the Humboldt Broncos. He returned to Prince Albert in 2023-24 and delivered a breakout campaign, posting a 2.54 goals-against average and .906 save percentage over 30 regular-season games, while adding another strong showing in the playoffs.

The 2024-25 season marked Holtvogt’s full-time transition to the SJHL, where he continued his upward trajectory with Humboldt. In 13 regular-season appearances, he recorded a 2.99 GAA, .913 save percentage, and one shutout, helping the Broncos secure key points in the standings. His development has also been recognized at the major junior level, highlighted by a call-up to the Prince George Cougars in 2025-26, where he did not allow a goal in his lone appearance.

Now back with Humboldt this season, Holtvogt has maintained that momentum, posting a .917 save percentage through his early SJHL starts.
