REGINA, SK – The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) has announced that Yorkton Terriers captain and forward Tylan Henrikson has been added to Team SJHL’s roster for the 2026 Viking Cup, presented by Vaderstad, replacing Estevan Bruins forward Ewan Rennie, who has withdrawn due to injury.

Henrikson, a 2005-born forward from Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, is in his third SJHL season with the Terriers and currently serves as the club’s captain. Through 26 games in the 2025-26 season, Henrikson has recorded 14 points (2G, 12A) along with 61 penalty minutes, providing Yorkton with a strong two-way presence and leadership up front.
Over his SJHL regular-season career, all with the Terriers, Henrikson has appeared in 112 games, posting 41 points (12G, 29A), while also adding two points in postseason play. Known for his competitiveness, physical play, and leadership qualities, Henrikson has been a key figure in Yorkton’s lineup over the past three seasons.
Henrikson is set to turn 20 years old on December 23, making him age-eligible for the 2026 Viking Cup, which features elite 2005-born talent from across the SJHL competing against four college programs.
Team SJHL will compete at the Viking Cup in Camrose, Alberta, at Encana Arena, marking the tournament’s return after a 20-year hiatus. The event provides a premier development and exposure opportunity for players pursuing the next level of hockey.
