REGINA, SK – Both Round 2 series will go to at least a Game 6.
Josh Sale led the way with two goals and two assists as the Weyburn Red Wings downed the Flin Flon Bombers 5-2 in Game 4 to even their series at two games apiece.
Joey Rocha shone in making 39 stops in the win, while Lucas Schmid and Rylan Pearce also counted multi-point nights for Weyburn.
Reid Arberry, recently committed to NAIT of the ACAC, opened the scoring for Flin Flon 7:33 into the second, but the Wings then scored five in a row to cruise in Game 4.
In North Battleford, it was all Terriers, as Jye Zawatsky’s four points keyed Yorkton’s attack en route to a 7-2 Game 4 victory over the North Stars.
Callum Creig made 20 stops, and Gavin Bartha scored his first two goals of the series in the victory.
Vinay Junek, Gabriel Courchesne, William Leonard, and Cash Lanigan also counted multi-point outings, led by Leonard’s three helpers.
