WARMAN, SK – Joey Lies scored the winner 39 seconds into the second period and the Flin Flon Bombers outlasted the Warman Wolverines 3-1 on Wednesday.
Griffin Wright shone in net for the Wolverines, making 47 stops in defeat, while Finn Werner made 19 stops for the win in his Bombers’ debut.
Kane Kennedy had the response for Warman and stretched his goal-scoring streak to four games, with six goals over that span.
Elsewhere in Estevan, rookie Cash Olson notched his first career hat trick and the Bruins cruised past the La Ronge Ice Wolves 7-1.
Noah Asmundson also added a pair, both on the power play, and six Bruins counted multi-point outings.
