WEDNESDAY RECAP: Oatman, Mils outlast Bombers

MELVILLE, SK – Rylan Oatman notched a goal and an assist, including the game winner, as the Melville Millionaires downed the Flin Flon Bombers 5-3 Wednesday evening at the CN Community Centre.

Noah Sinagowitz made 32 stops for his first career Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League victory in goal for the Mils. At the same time, league defencemen scoring leader Boston Harkness added two points in the win.

It was Flin Flon’s second defeat in a row after starting the season a perfect 6-0.

Joey Lies’ one-timer on a 5-on-3 power play cut the Melville lead to 4-3 at the 13:28 mark of the third frame, but Harkness’s empty netter sealed proceedings with 33 seconds remaining in regulation.
