REGINA, SK – Ex-Flin Flon and current Weyburn defenceman Rylan Pearce scored the first goal of his return to the SJHL 3:38 into overtime, and the Red Wings edged the Bombers 3-2 on Wednesday.
Luke Dekay’s drive to the net forced two terrific stops from Bombers’ goaltender Charlie Tritt before Pearce arrived to bang home the winner.
Pearce was also the game-high scorer with two assists on top of the overtime finish.
The win extended Weyburn’s win streak to four games and snapped Flin Flon’s run of 11 games unbeaten.
With the point, the Bombers became the first team in the league to hit 60 points, and they have not lost in regulation since Dec. 12, 2025.
The Red Wings moved into a tie with Battlefords for second place on 55 points.
Elsewhere in Estevan, it was the Yorkton Terriers who got a goal and an assist, including the game winner, from Vinay Junek, and downed the Bruins 4-1.
Callum Creig made 22 stops in the win that moved Yorkton three points ahead of Estevan for fifth, and two behind Nipawin for fourth.
Finally, in Warman, the Wolverines got a pair from Peyton Allard and 24 stops from Taye Timmerman in his first SJHL action since Nov. 30 to outlast the La Ronge Ice Wolves 5-4.
Vinny Palmarin and Kayden Yeaman also had multi-point nights for the hosts.
Dayton Tailfeathers and Jaxen Smyth led the way for La Ronge with three points apiece.
