WEDNESDAY RECAP: Power play goals fly in Mustangs win

REGINA, SK – Zayden Sadlemyer led the way with two goals and the Melfort Mustangs downed the Weyburn Red Wings 5-2 Wednesday in a clash of Top 3 teams.

The two teams combined for seven power-play goals on 14 opportunities, accounting for all the offence in the contest.

In Humboldt, the Broncos won their seventh game in eight and fifth in a row with a 4-1 victory over the Estevan Bruins.

Boris Kofman added a game-high two goals in the win.

Finally in Wilcox, the Battlefords North Stars took down the Notre Dame Hounds 4-2 by way of a power-play marker and winner from Nikita Ivaschenko 30 seconds into the third period.
