REGINA, SK – Finn Werner stopped all 26 shots he faced and Jared Miskiw notched the winner at 14:10 of the second period as the Flin Flon Bombers earned a Round 1 sweep of the Estevan Bruins with a 2-0 win in Game 4 Wednesday.

Connor Miller had the other goal for the Bombers, the No.1 seed.

Dylan Adams was stellar in the Estevan net, making 31 stops in defeat.

The Nipawin Hawks scored three straight goals, including Konnor Watson’s overtime winner, to rally past the Weyburn Red Wings 3-2.

Watson banged a loose puck home back door at the 5:55 mark of the extra frame, after he had assisted on Noah Henrich and Brendan Olson’s second-period goals.

Gage Roberts stopped 31 shots in the win, while Joey Rocha made 38 saves in the loss.

The Hawks evened the series at two games apiece with the victory.

Finally, in Melfort, the Mustangs stayed alive via seven different goal scorers in a thunderous 9-4 Game 4 win vs. the Battlefords North Stars.

Six different Mustangs had multi-point outings, while North Stars’ forward Alessio Nardelli had two of Battlefords’ goals.

The series now sits at 3-1 North Stars.
