WEDNESDAY WRAP UP

By Craig Stein

The Notre Dame Hounds own a share of sixth place after they picked up points in their seventh straight game, a 3-2 win over the Melfort Mustangs on Wednesday night.

The Mustangs scored first but the Hounds stormed back with the next three as Nick Rein (1g-1a), Chance Longjohn and Adam Dawe did the scoring.

Notre Dame (24-21-6-1) is now tied for 6th with Yorkton, and have three games in hand.  They’re just one point back of Humboldt for 5th with one in hand.

Miles Warkentine and Reed Gunville scored for the Mustangs (20-27-2-4) while Dakota Boutin assisted on both.  Melfort’s still just four points up on Melville for the final playoff spot, and the Millionaires have a game in hand.
