PLOTNIK, ALALOUF TURN IN STELLAR PERFORMANCES

The Melfort Mustangs managed just 15 shots on goal, 5 per period, but were back stopped by Evan Plotnik and his 45 saves on 46 shots as the Mustangs edged the Flin Flon Bombers 2-1 on Wednesday night.

Andrew Thompson scored both goals for the Mustangs (11-13-1-3), his third and fourth of the season.

Kristian St. Onge notched his 13th of the year for the division-leading Bombers (15-8-2-2), and Zac Robidoux made 13/15 saves.

The Estevan Bruins lengthened their lead in the Viterra Division again, with a 4-1 win over Kindersley on home ice.

Jason Miller led the way with a goal and two assists while Nathan Alalouf was solid between the pipes stopping 30/31 shots.  Jake Fletcher (1g-1a), Lynnden Pastachak and Zach Goberis also scored for the Bruins (21-8-0-1).

Clive Rozeba notched a powerplay goal for the Klippers (11-19-1-0).
