REGINA, SK – The 2025 Canterra Seeds Cup final is set.
Weyburn earned its spot when Josh Sale tipped in a Dallen Oxelgren point shot at the 5:08 mark of overtime to hand the Red Wings a 3-2 victory in Game 6 and a 4-2 win in the series vs. the Flin Flon Bombers.
Joey Lies of the Bombers had tied the contest at two with 10:33 remaining in regulation.
The Wings will take on the Melfort Mustangs, who will be looking to defend their championship from a season ago. It is Weyburn’s first time in the league final since 2012, and they will be looking to win their first title since 2001.
Game 1 of the Canterra Seeds Cup final is set for Saturday night at the Northern Lights Palace in Melfort.
