WINGS EDGE WOLVES IN SHOOTOUT

After 41 goals were scored in four games on Tuesday night, the Weyburn Red Wings and La Ronge Ice Wolves continued the offensive assault on Wednesday, scoring 8 in regulation as the Red Wings went on to beat the Ice Wolves 5-4 in a shootout.

Cole Woodliffe was front and centre for the Red Wings, with two goals and an assist in regulation, and one of the two shootout goals.  Jacob Wozney had a goal and an assist and Ben Hiltz added his first SJHL goal.  Nathan Hargrave made 35/39 saves in the victory.

The win lifts the Wings to 11-5-0-1 and back into a tie for first in the Viterra with Estevan.

Curtis Peck (1g-1a), Brayden Dunn (1g-1a), Tristen Elder (1g-1a) and Derek Patter replied for the Ice Wolves (2-12-0-2).
