REGINA, SK – Captain Blake Betson scored twice, and the Wings tallied three times in the third period en route to a 3-2 victory over the Humboldt Broncos Tuesday.

The win clinched Weyburn its first Viterra Division title since 2016, which means they will be the No. 3 seed throughout the SJHL post-season.

Humboldt goaltender Dazza Mitchell made 40 saves in the loss and made his debut as the visiting goaltender at Crescent Point Place after he spent two-and-a-half campaigns in Weyburn red.

The loss also means the Broncos can finish no higher than sixth.

Elsewhere in Nipawin, the Hawks pulled off the upset, as Will Whitter notched the overtime winner in a 5-4 victory over the Flin Flon Bombers.

The Bombers have already been locked into second in the league.
