CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Keegan Kjargaard, Nipawin Hawks
1996 F Keegan Kjargaard (Prince Albert SK) managed to find the back of the net in each of the four games played last week, starting with a one goal and one assist game on Tuesday against Kindersley.  On a three game southern road trip this weekend, Kjargaard scored once in Estevan, twice in Weyburn, and then added a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Notre Dame on Sunday.  Kjargaard has 8-goals and 8-assists in 13-games on the season, coming close to his career high of 9-goals in a single season.  Runner-up:  Coby Downs, Battlefords.

IBAS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:  Clive Rozdeba, Kindersley Klippers
1996 D Clive Rozdeba (Calgary AB) picked up five assists in three games played this past week, as the 6’3” 225 lbs blueliner has already established Junior A career high point totals with 12-assists in 14-games.  He had one assist in La Ronge on Wednesday and then registered back to back two helper games at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon on Friday and Saturday.  Runner-up:  Eric Soar, Nipawin

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:  Kristian Stead, Nipawin Hawks
1996 G Kristian Stead (Merritt BC) won two of his three starts this past week, blocking 96-of-102 shots along the way, finishing with a crisp 2.00-GAA.  Stead allowed only one goal in victories versus Kindersley and in Weyburn.  For the year, he’s 6-3-and-1 with a 1.81-GAA and .943-SPCT to go with one shutout.  Runner-up:  Carter Seminuk, Humboldt.

SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Tucker Scantlebury, Melville Millionaires
1998 F Tucker Scantlebury (Neepawa MB) scored a goal on Wednesday night versus the Estevan Bruins and then picked up a goal and two assists in a 3-2 win over Weyburn on Friday.  He now has 4-goals and 4-assists in 14-games.  Runner-up:  Josh McDougall, Nipawin.
