Playoff Format

Regular Season Tie Breaking Procedure
The Clubs having the greater number of points will be awarded the higher position. If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:
1. The club with the greater number of wins, excluding games won in a shootout. (ROW's = Regulation + OT wins)
2. The club having the greater amount of points against each other. (Head to Head)
3. The club having the greater goal differential between goals for and goals against for the entire regular season.

 

1st Round of Playoffs (Quarter Finals)
Top 8 teams will advance to the playoffs.
Teams will be seeded based on regular season standings.
Top 4 teams will have home ice advantage.
Team 1 vs 8
Team 2 vs 7
Team 3 vs 6
Team 4 vs 5
This round is a best of 7 series.
Winners advance to next round.

2nd Round of Playoffs (Semi Finals)
Teams will be seeded based on regular season standings.
Top 2 teams will have home ice advantage.
Team 1 vs 4
Team 2 vs 3
This round is a best of 7 series.
Winners advance to next round.

3rd Round of Playoffs (League Championship)
Teams will be seeded based on regular season standings.
Top team will have home ice advantage.
Team 1 vs 2
This round is a best of 7 series.
