The Yorkton Terriers are currently looking to fill the position of Athletic Therapist/ Equipment Manager for the 2023-2024 hockey season and beyond.
Review Date: Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled
Salary: based on experience and certification
Description: The Athletic Therapist/Equipment is responsible for the physical care of the athletes and maintenance of equipment. Previous hockey team experience would be an asset. This position requires non-standard hours.
The Athletic Therapist/ Equipment Manager will work under the direction of the Head Coach/General Manager and assume duties as assigned on a daily basis. Job duties shall include but are not limited to:
· Keep accurate records of all injuries, treatments and the rehabilitation schedule.
· Reports all injuries to the Head Coach/General Manager.
· Administer or arrange the therapy needs of all team members.
· Keep accurate records of all treatments.
· Determine the requirements for physiotherapy needs, equipment and supplies for the team.
· Control and distribute all therapy equipment and consumables.
· Work cooperatively with the Coaches, and accept duties as assigned by the Head Coach/General Manager.
· Familiar with skate sharpening equipment. Perform skate sharpening duties.
· Control, distribute and maintain inventory of all medical supplies and consumables.
· Ensure the dressing room is properly organized and assist co-ordination of cleaning daily.
· Meet visiting team’s needs on game days.
· Co-ordinate the loading and unloading of bus for all road trips with the team’s Coaching Staff.
· Co-ordinate the ordering of medical supplies and consumables with the Head Coach/GM
· Be present on the bench and administers to all the players’ first aid needs during practices and games.
· Co-ordinate first responders’ policy and protocol for emergency situations.
· Be available for all off-ice sessions.
· Co-ordinate and complete daily laundry duties.
· Co-ordinate the maintenance and distribution of team equipment with the Head Coach/GM.
· Ensure equipment is repaired or replaced as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.

Notre Dame Hounds - Assistant Coach

Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
- Supporting on ice and off ice skills development
- Develop and implement team tactics and strategies
- Engage in game and practice preparation
- Execute bench duties
- Video editing along with reviews for teams and individual players
- Responsible for team supervision and travel itineraries
- Continuous communication with students and their support teams including parents, healthcare, and other stakeholders at the College
- Support facility supervision including the arena, weight room, and skill centre
- Gather and summarize performance data for metric analysis
- Create and review weekly recaps or highlights
- Support the promotion of the Notre Dame hockey program and our students
- Hockey Canada – Development 1 or High Performance (HP1) certification
- Hockey Canada – Checking Skills
- Respect in sport and safety accreditation.
- Post-secondary diploma, degree in sports management or other relevant educational / professional experience is an asset.
- Works well in a collaborative team environment with a strong ability to develop relationships
- Demonstrated strong mentorship, leadership, and conflict management skills
- Criminal records check with vulnerable sector search
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Strong organizational, administrative and computer skills
- Adaptable, flexible and proactive mindset
- A proven record of motiving student athletes in youth sports programs
- Demonstrate integrity and model core values
- Coaching or relevant experience at the AAA, junior, College or Pro levels
- Experience playing hockey at higher levels is an asset
- Able to obtain CPR and first aid
- Must be able to work in Canada or hold a valid Canadian employment visa
- Must have a valid drivers licence

Melfort Mustangs - Assistant Coach

The Melfort Mustangs are currently seeking an Assistant Coach to start in the 2023/2024 SJHL Season. We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills, and hockey knowledge to assist the Head Coach and General Manager of our club.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Coach and General Manager in all aspects of the Mustangs Hockey Operations including practices, and personnel decisions.
- Providing leadership, commitment and passion for our players, fans, and community
- All aspects of coaching and administration of a CJHL junior A hockey program
- Recruiting & identifying future Mustangs
- Assisting with current players to move on to the collegiate level
- Working with the players on individual skills
- Organizing travel/meal plans for road trips
- Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors and/or the Head Coach.
Qualifications:
- Playing experience at the Junior A level or higher considered an asset.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, High Performance 1 certification, Respect in Sport & Checking.
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Provide a criminal record check
- Ability & desire to work long hours, evenings, weekends & holidays as necessary
