RBC Community Ambassador

2025-2026 RBC Community Ambassador Team

For the eighth year, RBC is partnering up with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) to highlight the league’s athletes making a difference in the community.

One player from each SJHL team who has shown exemplary commitment to their community and who is a strong leader both on and off the ice, will be named to the 12-member RBC Community Ambassador team. RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to their communities where they play. Each Ambassador is celebrated at an RBC Game Night* and honoured with a $1,000 donation from RBC to a school in their local community.

Fans will be able to vote online for the RBC Community Ambassador nominee of their choice to be honoured as the recipient of the SJHL’s RBC Community Award at the end of the SJHL regular season. This comes with a further $2,500 donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.

Last year’s SHL RBC Community Award Winner, Tylan Henrikson, received his award and donated $2,500 to Foam Lake Composite School in Foam Lake, SK.

“Volunteering with kids and giving back to my community has always been important to me,” said Henrikson. “I remember looking up to older players when I was younger. Now, to be in a position to do the same for the next generation is incredibly meaningful. Seeing the community come out and support our team motivates me to give back wherever possible. I’m grateful for this recognition and the chance to impact positively, ” stated Henrikson.

“The SJHL is honoured to continue this partnership and bring back the RBC Community Ambassador Program,” SJHL Director of Marketing and Partnerships Jacob Faith said. Partnerships like this that give back to the community while engaging with on-ice play are the types of relationships that are valuable beyond measure for our league and the twelve member communities. We’re all looking forward to the battle to be crowned the SJHL’s RBC Community Ambassador this season.”

This year’s RBC Community Ambassadors will be recognized at RBC Game Nights taking place between January 4th and March 6th.
