We are halfway through our 12 Days of Christmas feature on SJHL.ca and we continue our look around the league on Day 6 with the Weyburn Red Wings.
After a hot start to the season, the Wings cooled off a bit in November, but with a good final week before the holidays, Weyburn has moved up to 7th in the SJHL and well within striking distance of the two teams ahead of them.
The race for the final four playoff spots will be a major storyline for the remainder of the season as 5-9 are only separated by just 6 points.
The good news for the Wings and their fans is their remaining schedule is quite favourable. 18 of their remaining 28 games are against teams who are below them in the standings.
The Wings will return to the ice on Friday, January 5th when they play host to the Estevan Bruins. The game will also be the SJHL Game of the Month on SaskTel MaxTV Local.
