Following consultation between the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, and the respective governmental bodies, the 2022 SJHL/MJHL Showcase, scheduled for Jan. 25-26 in Winnipeg, MB, has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
In the midst of the havoc wreaked on the world by the Omicron variant of the virus, all parties have agreed that the risk to the health of all associated with an event such as the Showcase under these specific circumstances is too high.
The SJHL rosters have been compiled, however, and will be released at a later date in an effort to recognize the deserving group of players selected for the event.
We can assure all the players, fans, staff, and friends of the league that we are all bitterly disappointed by this necessary decision.
