A pair of games on Family Day Monday across the SJHL, with the home teams coming out on top.

In Humboldt, the Broncos hung on for a 4-3 victory over the Kindersley Klippers to win their 7th straight game. Jacob Boucher led the way with a goal and an assist, and reigning Sasktel Goalie of the Week Jared Picklyk made 32 saves in the win. Kindersley fought their way back after getting down 4-0 in the game, but were unable to score the equalizer. Humboldt returns to the ice Friday when they visit the Nipawin Hawks, and for Kindersley, they return home to face the Yorkton Terriers on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in Wilcox the Notre Dame Hounds bounced back with a 6-4 win over the Weyburn Red Wings. After falling 3-2 in regulation Friday night in Weyburn, the Hounds needed this game if they want to make a run at a playoff spot. Jacob Ligi and Dane Probe led the way for Notre Dame in the win as each of them found the back of the net twice. Tucker Inabinet also made 36 saves in the victory, which moves the Hounds 9 points back of the Wings with 9 games to go. Both the Hounds and Wings will hit the road this weekend. Weyburn will be in Flin Flon for two and Notre Dame will visit Kindersley and Battlefords.

Action resumes Tuesday night with a pair of games on the schedule.
