Bruins’ Bilous commits to SAIT

Estevan, SK  – The Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) are thrilled to announce goaltender Boston Bilous has committed to attend and play for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Trojans (SAIT).

Bilous (01), recorded a 2.11 GAA and a .923 SVP in 40 regular season games. During the Bruins playoff run Bilous finished with the best goals against average with a 2.0 and recorded a .928 SVP.  Bilous recorded two shutouts in the league finals and he saved his best for last in game 7 blanking the Flin Flon Bombers 2-0.  For his efforts Bilous was named the playoff MVP.

“Boston was very steady for us all year and was a big factor in our Championship run. He provided experience and leadership for us on the ice and in the dressing room.  Boston made some big saves for us and when it mattered the most he performed in the playoffs”, said Bruins Head Coach & GM, Jason Tatarnic. The 6-foot-3, 200lb forward from Langley, BC, played for the Edmonton Oil Kings, Prince Albert Raiders and the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL before joining the Estevan Bruins this season.  Boston was part of the Prince Albert Raiders Western League Championship in 2018-2019.

The SAIT Trojans are located in Calgary, AB, and compete in the ACAC.
