Melfort Mustangs forward Zac Somers has committed to playing for the University of Saskatchewan of USports in the 2025-26 Canada West campaign.
Somers, 21, just completed an illustrious career with the back-to-back Canterra Seeds Cup champions, wherein he posted 185 points in 204 contests over the regular season, playoffs, and two Centennial Cup runs.
A native of Melfort, Somers also played for Canada West at the 2022 World Junior A Challenge in Cornwall, ONT, and has represented the SJHL at various SJHL/MJHL Showcases.
Somers is the 17th SJHLer so far to commit to a USports school from this campaign.
