BOSER ADDS ANOTHER OT WINNER

Kaden Boser scored his third goal of the playoffs, and second overtime winner, lifting the Battlefords North Stars to a 6-5 (OT) victory in Game 4 of the SJHL Final, giving them a big 3-1 series lead, one win away from the Canalta Cup.

Melfort scored first for the second straight night, but just like Game 3, went on to fall short in the end.  The Mustangs held 1-0 and 3-2 leads on Wednesday.  Elijah Loon-Stewardson led the Stars with a pair of goals, while Braydon Buziak had a Gordie Howe Hat Trick, and then some, with a goal, two assists and a fight.  Owen Lamb (1g-1a) and defenseman Ryan Granville rounded out the scoring for Battlefords and Joel Gryzbowski made 36/41 saves.

Carson Albrecht had two goals and two assists for the Mustangs, his second goal forced overtime as they trailed 5-3 in the third period.  Albrecht has a league-leading 12-goals and 20-points in the post season, while Justin Ball had a pair of assists and shares the league lead in points with his linemate (7g-13a).  Tanner Zentner (1g-1a), Tyson Meyers and Colin Schmidt also scored for Melfort.  Noah Giesbrecht stopped 37 of the 43 shots he faced.

Game 5 goes Good Friday in North Battleford at 7:30.  The Mustangs are looking to force a Game 6 back at home on Easter Sunday.
