SGEU MVP of the Week: Colton Getzlaff, Battlefords North Stars

Simply put, Getzlaff did it all for the North Stars in their 5-4 win over the Humboldt Broncos Saturday. He scored all of the team’s four goals, two on the power play and the only goal in the shootout. Not bad.
Weekly Stats: 2 GP, 4 G, 1 A, 5 PTS

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Jacob Strizzi, Humboldt Broncos

It’s more of a quality-over-quantity award for Strizzi this week. Two game-winning goals this past week for the sniper from York Region, Ontario, as he scored in overtime against Notre Dame Wednesday, then the go-ahead-goal Friday in North Battleford.
Weekly Stats: 3 GP, 3 G, 0 A, 3 PTS

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Rylan Silzer, La Ronge Ice Wolves

It has been a busy 2025 for the Wolves so far, and their captain has been consistent through all of it. This past week’s four games in a five-day southern trip yielded four points for Silzer to go with his rock-steady play.
Weekly Stats: 4 GP, 1 G, 3 A, 4 pts

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Angelo Zol, Weyburn Red Wings

Zolly, the Goalie, moved into second place in the league regarding goalie wins and hasn’t had a sub-.905 save percentage performance since mid-November. He beat La Ronge twice this past week and did all he could to hold off a determined Melville squad in the middle of the two wins.
Weekly Stats: 3 starts, 2-1-0-0 record, .923 SV%, 1.96 GAA

IKS Media Rookie of the Week: Nick Genette, Melville Millionaires

Suddenly, the Melville rookie Genette is one of the hottest goalies in the league and showed it in brilliant performances this past week in wins against divisional rivals Weyburn and Estevan. He’s a former national U18 champion in the United States, so it should not really come as a surprise.
Weekly Stats: 2 GP, 2-0-0-0 record, .971 SV%, 1.00 GAA

Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Steven Steranka, Estevan Bruins (from Regina, Sask)

Steranka was traded to Estevan from the WHL’s Red Deer Rebels at the trade deadline and immediately made an impact. Four points in a wild 7-4 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves were an impressive start for the young Reginian, and he appears to be an important player for the Bruins moving forward.
Weekly Stats: 3 GP, 2 G, 2 A, 4 PTS
