SGEU MVP of the Week: Kian Bell, Battlefords North Stars
The bell rang plenty of times this week for Kian Bell of the Battlefords North Stars as he continues to light the lamp this season. It all started with an impressive showing at the SJHL/MJHL Showcase where the leading goal scorer in the SJHL found the back of the net three times to help SJHL Team Gold win both of their games. He would then build off the strong performance with a pair of two goal performances against the Notre Dame Hounds Thursday and Melfort Mustangs Saturday. Bell now sits with 42 goals and 32 assists in 40 games this season.

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Caleb Allen, Yorkton Terriers
The Yorkton Terriers got back in the win column Saturday night in Yorkton and a big reason why was the play of 18-year-old netminder Caleb Allen. The Wings peppered Allen with 48 shots and he turned aside 46 in the 3-2 overtime win. Allen is now 13-19-0-1 on the season with a 3.86 GAA and a .897 Save percentage.

DirectWest Rookie of the Week: Erik Kahl, Weyburn Red Wings
Sticking with the goalies for the DirectWest Rookie of the Week, and this week it is going to Erik Kahl of the Weyburn Red Wings. Kahl got the start for the Wings Friday night against the La Ronge Ice Wolves and made 37 saves to help secure the shootout win for Weyburn as they continue their hot play. The win was also Kahl’s 1st in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Tynan Ewart, Battlefords North Stars
It was another great week for the SJHL’s leading scorer among Defenceman, Tynan Ewart this week. The 20-year-old Defenceman impressed at the SJHL/MJHL Showcase early on in the week and then added 3 assists in the Stars two wins this week against Notre Dame and Melfort. The Duncan, B.C product is now up to 6 goals and 37 assists on the season in 44 games this season.
