SGEU MVP of the Week: Logan Belton, Melfort Mustangs
It was a big weekend for the Melfort Mustangs as they swept the Notre Dame Hounds and leading the charge up front was Logan Belton. The 19-year-old turned up his production this past week racking up four goals and five assists in three games. Belton’s week was highlighted by a four point night Saturday in Wilcox against the Notre Dame Hounds. The Winnipeg, Manitoba product is up to 11 goals and 13 assists on the season.

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Carter Anderson, Flin Flon Bombers
Leading the charge when it comes to goal scoring this week was Flin Flon Bombers forward Carter Anderson. The 19-Year-old tickled the twice seven times in three games this past week which included a four goal evening Friday night at the Whitney Forum against the Yorkton Terriers. In just 18 games played since joining the Bombers on October 13th, Anderson has scored 20 goals and has added 10 assists. He is currently tied for 13th in SJHL scoring.

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Felix Allard, Estevan Bruins
The Estevan Bruins split their two games on the road this weekend and their best player in both games was 20-year-old Defenceman Felix Allard. In Friday’s 5-4 overtime win over Battlefords and their 5-4 loss to Kindersley, Allard had a goal and an assist in each game. Allard is now 4th in SJHL scoring among Defenceman with 11 goals and 14 assists.

DirectWest Rookie of the Week: Ty McKay, La Ronge Ice Wolves
Welcome to the La Ronge Ice Wolves Ty McKay! It was a big weekend for the rookie forward as he registered an assist against his former team the Humboldt Broncos, but then followed it up Saturday with a hat-trick against the Yorkton Terriers. His first goal Saturday evening also marked his first in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: William Dyke, Melville Millionaires
Surprisingly for the first time this year 20-year-old goaltender William Dyke of the Melville Millionaires is being recognized as Sasktel Goalie of the Week. The veteran netminder was rock solid in between the pipes for the Mills who bounced back in Battlefords with a come from behind win over the North Stars. Dyke has an 11-7 record on the season and is a big reason why the Mills have had so much success in the first half of the year.

Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Zac Somers, Melfort Mustangs (from Melfort,Sask)
It has been an injury riddled start to the year for Zac Somers of the Melfort Mustangs, but when he has been in the line-up for his hometown team, he has been superb. In two games this weekend Somers returned to the ice and flexed against Notre Dame. Friday he had 3 assists at the Northern Lights Palace and Saturday in Wilcox found the back of the net and added a helper.
