SGEU MVP of the Week: Mason Bueckert, La Ronge Ice Wolves
A bit of a slower start for the perennial star is well in the rear-view mirror now, as Bueckert has goals in four of the last five and points in five straight games; nine points over that span. The Ice Wolves won three of four on their southern swing this past week, and Buckert’s production was a huge reason why.

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Cole Thomas, La Ronge Ice Wolves
Thomas has found some points lately and remains one of the best face-off men and penalty killers in the SJHL. His hat trick in Humboldt on Sept. 29 was the first of his career. and his line with Jacob Cossette and Hudson Cameron has looked outstanding.

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Liam Hunks, Notre Dame Hounds
The Hounds captain has been steady all year, but his dynamic offensive ability is no secret to anyone in Wilcox. A four-point night in North Battleford Friday was capped off with a gorgeous overtime winner, and he set up Vinny Palmarin for the game-tying goal with 14 seconds left in regulation as well. He also played massive minutes as the young Hounds pulled out three points from a pair with the North Stars on the weekend.

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Logan Falk, La Ronge Ice Wolves
Both Falk and his partner Graham Brown were brilliant on the Wolves’ road trip, but the elder statesman got the nod due to his two wins. His 47 saves in La Ronge’s win at Humboldt this past week were a career-high.

IKS Media Rookie of the Week: Taite Donkin, La Ronge Ice Wolves
There is a long line of Prince Albert Mintos alums to contribute quickly to the SJHL, and Donkin is the next one up. He had three points in the big win in Humboldt and added two in the neutral-site loss to the Yorkton Terriers Saturday.

Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Dazza Mitchell, Weyburn Red Wings (from Regina, Sask)
This marks the fourth week in a row wherein a Weyburn Red Wings goaltender is handed an award. Dazza now has three straight starts with 40+ saves and four consecutive wins. On Saturday in Kindersley, the Klippers came out flying, but the veteran Mitchell shut the door and helped the league’s hottest squad to their 12th-straight game unbeaten with 47 stops on the night.
