SATURDAY RECAP: Wilson hat trick lifts Bruins in Highway 39 classic

REGINA, SK – Veteran Estevan forward Brady Wilson scored three straight goals between the 6:43 mark of the third period and 26 seconds into overtime as the Bruins won their fourth in a row with a 4-3 victory over the Weyburn Red Wings.

Jacob Strizzi, Kye Benoche, and Connor Miller all added three points for Humboldt, which held on to win 7-5 at home against the Nipawin Hawks. Mason Karakochuk replied with three points for the visitors.

Flin Flon won its sixth in a row, four Bombers had multi-point nights, and Mike Reagan’s men downed the Yorkton Terriers 6-3 at the Whitney Forum.

Finally, in Kindersley, Melville earned the weekend sweep with a 4-1 win, led by a pair of goals from rookie Raiden Zecharias.
