Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS

By Mike Stackhouse

1-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (28-10-2-3)  Up 1
7-0-0-1 in their last eight and a very prolonged stretch of excellence.

2-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (35-7-1-0)  Down 1
They haven’t done a thing to warrant being moved off top position.  It’s more like 1A.

3-NIPAWIN HAWKS (24-12-2-1) Up 2
Hawks have won four in a row, eight of ten, and can still chase down Flin Flon in the standings.

4-ESTEVAN BRUINS (27-13-0-1) Down 1
Two straight wins and a shoe in to win the division.  Need to be careful to not let intensity drop.

5-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (23-18-0-1) Down 2
Two straight losses is a stumbling block.

6-MELFORT MUSTANGS (19-17-2-4)
Three straight wins and we’ve been calling their ascent up the standings for a number of weeks now.

7-WEYBURN RED WINGS (19-20-1-4)
It appears as though it’ll come down to the wire with Yorkton for second in their division.

8-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (17-23-1-0)
In a fight for their playoff lives, but winners in six of their last ten overall.

9-YORKTON TERRIERS (19-21-3-0)
Tough post January 10th schedule to this point has them spinning their wheels.

10-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (17-22-2-0) Up 1
Second lowest scoring team in the league, but getting quality netminding has them in the mix.

11-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (17-19-4-1) Down 1
Winless in four and in danger of being in that battle with Melville and Kindersley for a playoff position.

12-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (6-31-1-4)
Winless in their last thirteen overall.
