Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS (Dec 16)

1-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (2) 23-7-4
Bombers won two of three on last weekend’s road trip, punctuated with a 10-1 thrashing of the North Stars

2-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (1) 27-6-2
The Stars are 4-4-and-2 in their last ten, which constitutes a massive slump in their world.

3-YORKTON TERRIERS (3) 21-14-1
Terriers won all three games last week, including an underrated pivotal game with Estevan.

4-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (5) 19-14-2-2
Ice Wolves have won five of their last six and earned eleven of a possible twelve standings points over that period and appear to be the toughest team to play at the moment.

5-MELFORT MUSTANGS (4) 20-11-2-1
Coming off two straight losses, they’ve fallen seven points behind Flin Flon in the Sherwood Division standings.

6-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (7) 14-16-5-1
They’ve earned 13/20 standings points in their last ten games and have a four point cushion for the final playoff spot.

7-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (8) 16-13-3-2
Indications are that the team is building for next year, but there is no reason to doubt they’ve got plenty of gas in the tank for this year too.

8-NIPAWIN HAWKS (6) 17-14-2
Back to back losses to La Ronge, getting shutout and then allowing eight has them on their heels.  They are only six points ahead of ninth place Notre Dame, but also have two games in hand.

9-ESTEVAN BRUINS (9) 13-15-2-1
A big week from Rancier and they come into the week winners of back to back games and they have five games in hand on Yorkton, who lead the division.

10-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (10) 13-18-3-1
While they are only four points out of a playoff spot, they have to keep Estevan in mind as they’ve played four more games than the Bruins.

11-WEYBURN RED WINGS (12) 13-20-0-1
Worked hard and earned a tough win over Melfort this past week.

12-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (11) 11-18-2-4
A lump of coal for the Mils in their last game against Humboldt.
