SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS (Jan 20)

1-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (1) 36-7-2
Won all four games last week and look to be back in fine form, which is bad news for the rest of the league.

2-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (3) 26-9-5
An impressive overtime win against a hot Nipawin Hawks team and have been getting very solid goaltending since Christmas break.

3-NIPAWIN HAWKS (2) 23-17-3
Overtime loss to the Bombers, but still head to head battles against Flin Flon remain in what may be the most hotly contested games in the league down the stretch.

4-YORKTON TERRIERS (6) 27-18-1-1
A nice rebound (2-0-0-1) and they’ll hope their surplus games they’ve played over other contenders doesn’t end up lowering their spot in the standings.

5-MELFORT MUSTANGS (5) 23-14-3-2
Just three wins in their last ten, but showing signs of life.

6-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (4) 23-17-3-2
Ice Wolves have struggled as of late against a couple of top teams.

7-ESTEVAN BRUINS (7) 19-18-3-1
Just one regulation loss in their last nine and raise your hand if you are an SJHL team that wants to play these guys in the playoffs?  Didn’t think so.

8-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (8) 20-17-4-2
Likely looking at the 7th or 8th seed for the playoffs.

9-WEYBURN RED WINGS (10) 17-24-0-1
You could make a case that Joe Young is the MVP.  He has seven wins, four by shutout, and leads the league in GAA despite a losing record overall.

10-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (9) 15-21-6-1
They earned a single point in their only game, but at this point in the season they need two as many nights as possible.

11-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (12) 16-23-3-1
Like the Klippers, they got some points this past week but not enough to get back into the playoff picture.

12-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (11) 13-23-2-4
Shutout by the North Stars in their lone game of the week.
