New Year, but same Battlefords North Stars, as the number one team in the SJHL and CJHL continued on their winning ways Wednesday night with a 4-3 victory over the visiting La Ronge Ice Wolves.
Steven Kesslering, Jake Southgate, Evan Waldie, and Keiton Klein all found the back of the net for the Stars in their return to action as the Stars earned their 29th win of the season.
Meanwhile ,for La Ronge, this was their 2nd 4-3 loss in as many nights. Captain Walker Jerome found the back of the net twice in the loss, while Flynn Maxcy scored late to get the Ice Wolves to within one.
Battlefords will be back at it on Friday when they begin a home and home with the Kindersley Klippers.
La Ronge is now off until Wednesday, January 11th when they host the Nipawin Hawks.
