Asmundson is currently in his first season with the Estevan Bruins and has recorded 27 points (12G, 15A) in 30 games during the 2025-26 SJHL season, establishing himself as a reliable scoring presence in the Bruins’ lineup.

Prior to joining Estevan, Asmundson spent the 2024-25 season with the Columbia Valley Rockies of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL), where he produced 35 points (13G, 22A) in 39 regular-season games, adding six points in nine playoff contests. His junior career also includes time in the SJHL with the Humboldt Broncos, the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) with the Niverville Nighthawks, and a standout U18 AAA season with the Regina Pat Canadians, where he posted 31 points in 42 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

Through his junior career, Asmundson has demonstrated adaptability across multiple leagues, combining offensive instincts with competitiveness and versatility, traits that make him a strong fit for Team SJHL’s roster heading into the Viking Cup.

Asmundson is age-eligible for the 2026 Viking Cup, which features elite 2005-born players from across the SJHL competing against four college programs.

Team SJHL will compete at the Viking Cup in Camrose, Alberta, at Encana Arena, marking the tournament’s return after a 20-year hiatus. The event provides a premier development and exposure opportunity for players pursuing the next level of hockey.

The SJHL extends its best wishes to Lucas Schmid on his recovery and congratulates Noah Asmundson on his selection to Team SJHL.
