REGINA, SK – Konnor Watson notched his second hat trick of the year, including the game-winner, and Mason Karakochuk added four helpers as the Nipawin Hawks downed the Kindersley Klippers 6-3 in a clash of two of the league’s titans on Wednesday.
Jack Janzen also scored a pair as the Hawks won their third game in a row.
In Melfort, Callas Pierce potted the winner, and Roan Burgess and Josh Sale had two points apiece to help the Weyburn Red Wings outlast the Mustangs 4-2 in a rematch of last year’s Canterra Seeds Cup final.
Kaleb Binner responded with a goal and an assist in defeat.
Finally, Kale Margolis led the way with two goals and an assist, and Matt Spencer-Dahl made 23 stops for the shutout in his SJHL debut as the Melville Millionaires blanked the Warman Wolverines 3-0.
