Jake Tremblay scored three times and added one assist as the Nipawin Hawks went into Humboldt on Saturday and out-scored the Broncos 7-5.

Zach Cox and Austen Flaman each had a goal and an assist, while Brodie Girod and Jordan Simoneau also added goals for the Hawks (16-11-2-0).  Dalton Dosch picked up the victory, making 34/39 saves.

Rookie Karter McNarland had a goal and an assist for the Broncos (15-11-3-2), with Max Gudnason, Logan Foster, Justin Jamer and Braiden Koran rounded things out.

Nipawin’s now a point back of Humboldt for fifth place in the overall standings.

Chantz Petruic had two goals and an assist, including the winner in overtime as the Yorkton Terriers edged the Kindersley Klippers 3-2 (OT) at a netural site game in Canora, half an hour north of Yorkton.

Kindersley led 2-0 in the first period, after Jaxon Georget scored just 12 seconds into the game, and Noah Lindsay provided some early insurance.

Alec Zawatsky added a goal and an assist for the Terriers (18-11-1-0) who now sit tied for third in the overall standings, and atop the Viterra Division.  Ryan Ouelette made 34/36 saves in Saturday’s win, and he’s now 10-1 (1.82 / .953%) on the season.

The Klippers (11-14-5-1) still had a nice four game trip, going 2-0-2, playing Yorkton and Melville twice each.  They now have points in six straight games (3-0-3-0) as they finish off the month of November sitting in the eighth and final playoff spot.  Goalie Matt Sanker made 48/51 saves in Saturday’s OT loss.

The Flin Flon Bombers capped a perfect four game swing with a 4-2 decision in Weyburn, which followed victories in Melville, Notre Dame and Estevan, all by two goals or more.

The quick eight points in the standings has the Bombers (20-6-3-0) with a six point lead in the Sherwood Division, and alone in second overall.

Defenseman Dane Hirst scored twice on Saturday, while Cole Rafuse followed Friday’s three goal, five point performance in Estevan with another goal and an assist in Weyburn.  Donavan Houle-Villeneuve also scored and Jacob Delorme made 19/21 saves.

Liam Rutten had a goal and an assist for the Red Wings (10-19-0-1), Connor Pyne also scored and Noah Decottignies was busy stopping 48 of 51 shots.

Liam McGarva picked up his third shutout this season as the La Ronge Ice Wolves blanked the visiting Melfort Mustangs 3-0.

Grant Longtin scored twice, his 5th and 6th of the season, and Daylon Mannon added his 18th of the campaign for the Ice Wolves (15-14-2-1), who sit 7th in the league, but just four points out of third.

Shawn Parkinson took the loss for the Mustangs (17-8-2-1) on Saturday (shots on goal unavailable at post time).

Keenan Rancier stopped 38 of the 40 shots he faced, backstopping the Estevan Bruins to a 3-2 win over the Notre Dame Hounds.

Captain Jayden Davis led the charge with a goal and an assist, while Tanner Manz and Troy Hamilton added the others.  Kade McMillen chipped in a pair of assists for the Bruins (10-13-2-1).

Sho Takai and Curtis Wiebe did the scoring, and Logan Dyck stopped 34/37 shots in goal for the Hounds (11-16-2-1).
