Defenseman Johnny Witzke scored 3:35 into overtime, leading the Estevan Bruins to a 3-2 (OT) win over the Kindersley Klippers, in the only game on Trade Deadline day Wednesday.
Witzke finished with a goal and an assist, while Michael McChesney and Matthew Chekay scored powerplay goals to give the Bruins (23-13-3-1) a 2-0 lead in the first period. Bo Didur made 20/22 saves on the night.
Keillan Olson and Tanner Thompson (1g-1a) scored third period goals for the Klippers (15-15-3-2) to force overtime, and Justen Close made 33 saves on 36 shots.
The Klippers continue their road swing Friday in Weyburn, before catching the Bruins one more time on Saturday.
