The Flin Flon Bombers opened up a three game road trip with a Thursday nighter in Humboldt, and came away with a 5-2 decision over the Broncos.

Donavan Houle-Villeneuve and Cole Rafuse each had a goal and two assists, while Alec Malo added a goal and one helper, breaking a tie for the SJHL scoring lead, giving him a league-best 30-points (7g-23a). Houle-Villeneuve’s goal was also his league-high 16th.

Easton Haygarth and Caleb Franklin did the rest of the scoring, and Chase Haygarth added two assists. Matt Sanker made 31/33 saves in goal for the Bombers (10-3-2-0). Flin Flon has points in five straight games (3-0-2-0), and they’re off to Kindersley for a pair of games Friday and Saturday.

The Broncos (8-5-1-1) opened the scoring when defenseman Cody Hough scored late in the first period. 16-year-old Karter McNarland added one more in the third. Humboldt’s off until Saturday when they visit Melville, their first of four straight games on the road.
