KLIPPERS DOWN WOLVES WEDNESDAY

Jacob Schnapp had two goals and an assist, as the Kindersley Klippers built a 5-0 lead and rolled to a 5-1 win over the visiting La Ronge Ice Wolves in the SJHL’s only game on Wednesday’s schedule.

Dawson McKenzie and Caden Benson each added a goal and an assist, while Austin Nault rounded out the scoring for the Klippers (7-7-1-0), winners of now four in a row.

Zach Johnson was 27 seconds away from his first career SJHL shutout, but that’s when the Ice Wolves (7-9-2-0) got on the board, as Kyle Ford notched his team-leading 12th of the year. Daylon Mannon picked up the assist, moving him into a tie for the league lead with 28 points.
