The Flin Flon Bombers are halfway through their four games in five nights road trip, and have picked up three of a possible four points so far, following Wednesday’s shootout loss in Humboldt with a 4-1 win in Notre Dame Thursday.
Brandson Hein opened the scoring shorthanded just 4:22 into the game, his 12th goal of the season, and added a pair of assists for a three point night. His 12-goals and 22-points are both league highs. Caleb Moretz isn’t far behind as he notched his 11th goal and added an assist giving him 21-points. Defenseman Calvon Boots (1g-1a) added his first goal of the season, to go along with his league-leading 15-assists. Alec Cokley rounded out the scoring and Pierce Diamond made 20/21 saves for the Bombers (6-4-0-2).
Curtis Wiebe replied with a powerplay goal for the Hounds (3-7-0-0).
