BOMBERS CONTINUE TRIP WITH WIN

By Craig Stein

Thursday Night Recap

The Flin Flon Bombers are halfway through their four games in five nights road trip, and have picked up three of a possible four points so far, following Wednesday’s shootout loss in Humboldt with a 4-1 win in Notre Dame Thursday.

Brandson Hein opened the scoring shorthanded just 4:22 into the game, his 12th goal of the season, and added a pair of assists for a three point night.  His 12-goals and 22-points are both league highs.  Caleb Moretz isn’t far behind as he notched his 11th goal and added an assist giving him 21-points.  Defenseman Calvon Boots (1g-1a) added his first goal of the season, to go along with his league-leading 15-assists.  Alec Cokley rounded out the scoring and Pierce Diamond made 20/21 saves for the Bombers (6-4-0-2).

Curtis Wiebe replied with a powerplay goal for the Hounds (3-7-0-0).
