Bombers Finish Road Trip 3-1 Thanks to Win in Wilcox

The Flin Flon Bombers are heading back to the Whitney Forum pretty happy following a 3-1 win in Wilcox Sunday and finishing their four game in five night road trip with a 3-1 record.

Cole Duperreault got the scoring started just 3:46 into Sunday’s game with the Hounds, with the goal being his 38th of the season. Just two minutes later Kylynn Olafson would add some insurance for Flin Flon with his 2nd of the campaign.

The Hounds would respond just 52 seconds later though as Marko Djordjevic netted his first of the season to make it 2-1.

However, with just 9 seconds remaining in the opening stanza, the Bombers would restore their two goal lead thanks to Joey Lies 2nd of the season.

That would do it for all of the offence in the final meeting of the season between the Bombers and Hounds, and Flin Flon would earn the 3-1 win.

Harmon Laser-Humer was solid in between the pipes for Flin Flon in the win, stopping 28 of 29 shots faced.

The win improves the Bombers record to 30-12-2-1 on the year and moves them into sole possession of 2nd place in the SJHL standings.
