The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce a commitment for one of our graduating players.
Jacob Boucher has announced his commitment to the University of Windsor (USPORTS) and will become a member of the Lancers for the 2023/24 season.
Before making his green and gold debut, Boucher, a St. Albert, AB native, spent the last three full seasons in the WHL registering 30 points (12g, 18a) in 64 career games with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Edmonton Oil Kings, and Vancouver Giants.
He was acquired through a trade by the Broncos and made his debut in October of this season, immediately showcasing his offensive talents, putting up 17 points in his first 9 games.
“We’re very excited for Jacob to land the commitment to Windsor and play USPORTS Hockey to further his education and hockey career. He’s an impact player with very highly gifted offensive abilities. He’s going to contribute right away at the next level,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.
Boucher finished his final year of junior hockey with 36 points in 40 games with the Broncos, adding 9 points in 10 playoff games. Windsor finished the 2022/23 season in second place in the OUA WEST conference with an 18-6 record in the regular season. They would go on to defeat the Brock Badgers and the Lakehead Thunderwolves in the playoffs before losing to the UQTR Patriots in the OUA Championships.
The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to congratulate Jacob and his family on the commitment University of Windsor.
