It wasn’t long after the SJHL trade window flung open on June 1st before the Humboldt Broncos jumped out of the gates to acquire a player that will compete for their upcoming roster in the 2021/22 season.
The Broncos announced that they have acquired 2002 born forward, Lucas Ceccarelli, from the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the CCHL in exchange for a PDF.
Ceccarelli’s most recent full season of hockey was in 2019/20 where he captained the Richmond Hill U18 AAA Coyotes. In his final year of U18 AAA hockey, the King City, ON native picked up 39 points in 35 games, including a team-high 28 assists
The Broncos led the SJHL with a 5-1 record before the 2020/21 season came to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
