Bruins Snap Mills Three Game Winning Streak

The long weekend came to a close Monday afternoon in Estevan as the Bruins hosted the Melville Millionaires in an all Viterra division match-up.

After falling 4-3 Saturday to the Kindersley Klippers at home, the Bruins would bounce back winning 4-3 which snapped Melville’s three game winning streak.

A big reason for the Bruins’ victory was their power-play, finding the back of the net three times on the man advantage.

Leading the charge for the Bruins in the win was Owen Barrow who potted a pair in the victory, Owen Simmons had three helpers and Cam Hrdlicka made 29 saves.

This was the third meeting of the season between the two clubs and the home team has won every contest.

Both the Bruins and Millionaires will return to the ice on Friday. Estevan will host the Flin Flon Bombers and the Millionaires will tangle with the Yorkton Terriers.
