Flon Flin Bombers Jeremi Tremblay has committed to Sacred Heart University of NCAA Division I hockey and the Atlantic Hockey Association.
Tremblay, a 2003-born forward from Quebec City, QC., posted 35 points in 37 games with the Bombers this season.
“We are extremely happy for him,” said Bombers’ head coach and general manager Mike Reagan.
“He has worked very hard for this. Our organization really prides itself in moving players on, so to have another Div 1 commitment is really important to us.”
Listed at 6-foot, 187 pounds, the forward joined the Bombers this year out of TRC Hockey Academy of the North American Prospects Hockey League U18, and Holderness School Prep in New Hampshire the year before.
Among a cadre of excellent 2003-born players in the SJHL this year, Tremblay becomes the seventh Saskatchewan Junior Hockey Leaguer committed to the NCAA division I ranks in the 2022-2023 campaign. He is also the second on the Bombers after defenceman Xavier Lapointe joined the club as a committed player to R.I.T. in the off-season.
“Jeremi is a power forward,” said Reagan, “who has a knack for scoring.
“He has a high compete level, and plays similarly to (ex-Bomber, and current University of Maine DI NCAA forward Donovan” Houle.”
