Ex-Terrier Gervais signs in Finland

Ex-Yorkton Terriers forward Kishaun Gervais has signed for Rovaniemen Kiekko in the Mestis, the second-highest level of professional hockey in Finland.

Gervais, 22, played in 120 regular and post-season games for his hometown Terriers between 2018 and 2022, and spent most of last year with the Anaheim Ducks ECHL affiliate in Tulsa.

The Yorkton minor hockey alumni also spent time in the Western Hockey League with the Portland Winterhawks.

A speedy, skilled 5-foot-9, 170-pound forward, Kishaun posted 80 points over his Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League career.

He also played one year for Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ONT of USports in 2022-2023.

Rovaniemi is located in the far north of Finland, 830 kilometres north of the capital in Helsinki, and approximately 100 kilometres east of the Swedish border.
