Former Yorkton Terriers’ forward Brett Kemp has signed with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League, the club announced Friday.

Kemp, 21, began the 2020-2021 season with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Terriers, notching 10 points in six contests for his hometown team.

Over five Western Hockey League campaigns, the Yorkton native scored 97 goals and 221 points in 256 games split between the Everett Silvertips, Edmonton Oil Kings, and Medicine Hat Tigers.

As a 20-year-old in his final junior campaign spit between the Terriers and Medicine Hat Tigers,  he figured in 29 total contests and dominated to the tune of 41 points over that span.

Based in Ontario, CA., the Reign are the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.
