EXHIBITION SCHEDULE WRAPS UP

The SJHL Pre-Season ended with a pair of games on Sunday.  The Battlefords North Stars ended the exhibition schedule on a high note, winning for the first time in four tries over Kindersley, 5-4 on the road.

Jaxon Steele scored twice while Kevin-Thomas Walters added a goal and an assist.  Kyle Ford notched a hat trick for the Klippers in a losing cause.

The Stars and Klippers played four Pre-Season meetings and they’ll stay acquainted as they’ll hook up yet again on the opening weekend of the regular season, this Friday and Saturday.

The Humboldt Broncos ended their four game exhibition set with Notre Dame, out-shooting the Hounds 40-16 in a 2-1 win.

Hounds’ goalie Jonathan Verity kept it close, stopping 38 of the 40 shots he faced in his only action of the Pre-Season.  All the scoring came in the second period as Braiden Koran and Doug Scott bookended a Hounds goal from Jaydon Forrester.

Humboldt starts the regular season Friday in Yorkton, while Notre Dame kicks things off Saturday in Weyburn.

The SJHL regular season will start Friday, November 6th, and the league will continue to comply with SHA guidelines as they did throughout the exhibition schedule, which, for now, will include a maximum of 150 fans in attendance.
