FRIDAY RECAP: Bombers, Mustangs grab 2-0 series leads

REGINA, SK – So far so good for the Nos 1 and 2 seeds.

The Flin Flon Bombers scored three straight in the third and got goals from six different players as they cruised to a 6-2 Game 2 win at the Whitney Forum Friday.

Anthony Piccininno led the way with three points while Harmon Laser-Hume shut the door, as he stopped 32 shots in the victory.

In Melfort, the Mustangs erased a 3-1 Humboldt lead midway through the second period, and Ryan Duguay scored twice for the second game in a row en route to a 4-3 triumph.

The Bombers and Mustangs are now a combined 12-1 in the post-season.
