FRIDAY RECAP: Bombers take thrilling first SaskTel Game of the Month

LA RONGE, SK – Xavier Fauchon and Maverick Deslisle had multi-point nights, and Finn Werner shone in making 27 stops en route to a 6-1 Flin Flon Bombers win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves in the first SaskTel Game of the Month of the 2025-26 campaign.

Graham Brown was spectacular in the La Ronge net, making 50 saves in defeat.

Carter Hoemsen scored the Ice Wolves’ goal and sent the teddy bears flying at the 6:26 mark of the third period.

Kayden Yeaman scored the winner with under four minutes remaining in the third period as the Warman Wolverines edged the Humboldt Broncos 3-2.

Griffin Wright made 43 saves, while defender Pherson Loehndorf added three helpers in the victory.

Finally, in Melfort, Austin Osiowy notched the winner at the 16:15 mark of the opening frame, and the Mustangs held on for a 4-1 victory vs. the Nipawin Hawks.

Melfort added two empty netters to pad the scoreline late in the third period.
