WARMAN, SK – Colton Getzlaff scored twice, and Ewan Rennie and Cash Olson added multi-point nights as the Estevan Bruins clinched the eighth and final playoff spot in the 2026 SJHL Post-Season with a 5-2 win over the Weyburn Red Wings on Friday.

Dylan Adams made 35 stops in the win.

The Bruins are locked into the No. 8 seed and will face the Flin Flon Bombers in Round 1.

Owen Nelson led the way with a goal and an assist, and four different scorers found the back of the net to help the Battlefords North Stars slip into second place with a 4-1 win over the Kindersley Klippers.

The Stars will need a Yorkton loss to Melville Saturday evening to hold on to that spot, however, as the Terriers hold the tie-breaker.

Yorkton got an overtime winner from Gabriel Courchesne 3:24 into the extra frame to edge the Millionaires 4-3, and to keep pace and stay in the third spot.

William Leonard was the game-high scorer with two goals and an assist in the win, while Callum Creig made 23 stops for his league-leading 26th win of the season.

The Terriers clinched the Bunge Division title with the victory, their first since 2019-2020.

The Mils are locked into the No. 7 seed and will face either Battlefords or Yorkton in Round 1.

Eric Hoiness and Tiernan Ryan had two goals each, and the Nipawin Hawks romped to an 8-2 win over a Melfort Mustangs team that was locked into No. 6 and was resting many of its key players.

In all seven different Hawks had multi-point nights, led by Mason Karakochuk’s four assists.

Braeden Jockims scored as well, giving him goals in 11 of his last 12 contests, with 13 goals over that span.

Nipawin and Weyburn will face off in Round 1 of the playoffs, with the Hawks holding home-ice advantage.

In Warman, the Humboldt Broncos did their part to keep their post-season hopes alive with a 3-1 win, but the Estevan win made their win fruitless.

Kristian Lacelle notched two goals while Brady Holtvogt was terrific in making 35 stops.

Finally, in Flin Flon, the Bombers completed a season unbeaten at home in regulation with a 3-1 victory over the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Their 27-0-1 home record on the campaign is the best SJHL home record since the 1981-82 Prince Albert Raiders went 30-0.

The Bombers got goals from three different scorers while La Ronge goaltender Graham Brown was spectacular in defeat, stopping 44 Flin Flon shots.

The 1 vs. 8 and 4 vs. 5 Round 1 series are set, while the 2 vs. 7 and 3 vs. 6 matchups are to be determined by whether Yorkton beats Melville Saturday night.
